Start with three people: an employee and two people invested in the employee's growth. Work together to come up with ideas for professional and personal improvement, writing each one on a sticky note.
Working together, organize the sticky notes around common themes and areas of development. As directions emerge, label them with overarching goals.
Some goals aren’t meant to be completed — others can’t be completed today. Identify the quick wins and the long-term projects, and define what success looks like for both. Then set tasks for both the employee and the company to complete.
Be quiet! Why? The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king. Why do you think that she is a witch?
